Vatican II was initialized in the 60's and it was said to be intended as a beginning of a new "springtime", a regeneration and revitalization of the Church. In order to assess this article, I suggest you pick up a copy of the book: AA-1025. This short easy read is COMPELLING to anyone truly interested in the Church and prophecy. It will give you much to think about in light of Vatican II, this article, prophecy and the turmoil which we are experiencing in the Church TODAY.

First of all, I would like to just briefly touch on what I consider to be a most sensitive topic. In short, for those of you that may be unaware, there are many groups (clergy included) that have distanced themselves from Rome because they believe that the Vatican is running a counterfeit church and that John Paul II is the antichrist. This may come as a shock to many of you that haven't gotten wind of this yet.

I will do my best to remain objective on this and merely present the facts I have readily available. I also want to comment initially, that I personally have an extremely difficult time believing wholeheartedly that John Paul II is the antichrist. But as the facts unfold here, you will have a lot to chew on ... I strongly urge you to pray ferently to the Most Blessed Trinity and the Holy Spirit in particular, to enlighten you and give you the gift of discernment. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING AS FACT WITHOUT DOING THIS PLEASE. And I pray God right now that I never in any way spread any errors or cause another to doubt!!!!

My purpose for this article is not to have you doubt the Church, the Pope your pastor or anything like that. My intention is to have folks realize that we are on a biblical timeline in relation to our Lord's Glorious return. It's so very easy with our lives and all that's going on in the world these days to forget about our eternal souls. Kinda like: "When you're up to your ass in alligators, it's hard to remember that the initial objective was to drain the swamp."

Ok, there's been a lot said for decades upon decades about "the abomination of (or unto) desolation" as told in the books of 1 and 2 Machabees, Daniel 9, 11, & 12, Mark 13, Matthew 24, etc. Some feel this refers to an actual person (the antichrist) that will stand in a rebuilt temple in Israel. But didn't Jesus say that the Jews wouldn't be able to reuild their temple there until the day came that they said: "Blessed is He that comes in the Name of the Lord." ?? So, I'm not so sure that the folks that think this way are on the right track.

Generally it is believed that this abomination of desolation refers to 3 separate times in history, two of which are past and one to come; during the time of Antiochus, again under the Romans and lastly, near the end of time under the antichrist, respectively. We have been told that there is going to come an antichrist, which will be directly from hell itself. We know from the bible that this antichrist will come BEFORE our Lord returns. However, many that haven't read the bible and many if not all of the jews and other non catholics, will likely think this antichrist is the real deal because he's going to be doing signs and wonders just as Jesus did when He walked the earth. Those that haven't taken things seriously enough to try to find out the truth, I think will be lead astray and totally be taken in by this diabolical father of lies, not realizing that he's got to come before Jesus.

Cutting to the chase here, I think I agree with the majority of those that feel that the Temple of God is the Vatican. I say this because since the first Pope Peter had the Seat, Rome was secretly referred to as Babylon. Revelation and other books speak of the "whore of Babylon". This is generally understood as the Roman Church that has left it's "first love" (original dogma/tradition) for modernization to please *man* and not GOD.
