TWO SPECIAL PEOPLE
My first recollections were love, peace and trust
As I lay safe and warm 'neath my covers so soft.
When I squeeked my first noise, there was laughter and cheers
From these "Two Special People" who would wipe all my tears.

They taught me to walk and to run, jump and play.
They walked me to school and encouraged good grades.
They warned of the perils in talking to strangers,
Their wisdom and guidance helped deter many dangers.

They told me that truth was at peace with the dove.
And they said that the seasons were a gift of God's Love.
No matter what time of the day or the night,
They were always right there to assist in each plight.

But as I grew older (and wiser, I thought) ...
I started to question the things they had taught.
In those years of rebellion, I'd scream and I'd shout.
But their patience and love perservered and won out.

They watched me leave home and they welcomed me back.
Always waiting to help get me back on the track.
And then after giving for all their life long;
These "Two Special People" would still help keep me strong!

The riches they gave me could never be bought,
Their beliefs and their love ... and the lessons they taught.
These treasures are burned in my heart, like no other -
From those "Two Special People"
..... my Father and Mother!

Dear Lord, for the sake of those that love You, by merit of Your Holy Passion, lift not Your Protective Hand from us and save the USA!

Dear Lord we offer our joys, sorrows, breaths and tears to strengthen the faithful, renew the lukewarm, restore the fallen away and convert the proud.
